The City of Pella has one full-time opening for a Paramedic. This position provides a high standard of patient assessment and care in both emergent and non-emergent settings. Paramedics also provide transport services as well as provide medical care, health training, and safety education to the community. Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Emergency Vehicle Operator (EVO) are required. The successful candidate must possess, or be able to readily obtain, a valid Iowa driver's license. Residency within a 30-mile drive of the worksite must be established within 60 days of completion of a six-month probationary period.
